Important Changes to PMP Enhancements

In the summer of 2021, the Texas Prescription Monitoring Program (PMP) vendor, Bamboo Health (formerly Appriss Health), sent out information to all PMP registrants regarding the discontinuation of state funding for certain PMP enhancements.

This funding discontinuation went into effect on September 1, 2021.

You can read the original notice regarding funding discontinuation from Bamboo (Appriss) Health below:

Notice to all Texas health systems, prescribers, pharmacies and EMR vendors

You are receiving this communication because your organization is currently receiving funding from the State of Texas to cover the cost of integrated access to the Texas Prescription Drug Monitoring Program. Please read the following in full regarding the discontinuation of funding.

We are disappointed to announce that funding for integrated PDMP access through the Appriss Health PMP Gateway solution will not be extended. Currently, your organization receives free access to PMP Gateway and NarxCare. This announcement serves as formal notice that funding for these services will end on 8/31/2021.

    Continuation of Service

Your organization has completed the Gateway End User License Agreement (EULA) therefore there is no action needed to continue service from a contracting perspective. Your current agreement provides the option to begin paying the license fees on 9/1/2021 for continued service. A follow-up email is forthcoming which will contain more information regarding your specific fees and details needed in order to begin invoicing.

Please note, we understand this announcement comes at short notice and we will work with you to make this transition as smooth as possible.
